Introduction/Background: This is a song, sung by Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor, called "Elephant Love Medley" from the film "Moulin Rouge." In the scene where the song takes place, Christian (McGregor) and Satime (Kidman) admit their love for each other and in the process describe what love is for them

Synopsis/Summary: The two singers first present opposite feelings about love. Christian declares that love is a "many-splendored thing" (Citation Needed). His evidence for this is that love "can steal time" (Citation Needed), that love can make them "heroes" (Citation Needed), and that they were "made for love" (Citation Needed).

However, Satime says that "love is just a game" (Citation Needed) or that love is a fleeting moment or feeling. Her evidence for this is that love can make you "throw your life away for just one day" (Citation Needed) and that love is a currency like money that has no emotional attachment when she says, "No way, 'cause you can't pay" (Citation Needed).

But in the end, Satime agrees with Christian that love is a many-splendored thing and that they can "be heroes" (Citation Needed).
